Customer Need

Create a Trans Load facility for frac sand, capable of storing and distributing 4,000 metric tonnes.

Our Solution

Flynn Bros. provided a two part solution. With our experience in the grain industry unloading trucks and loading rail cars, we decided to reverse the process. We built heavy-duty structures to hold tanks overhead to deliver fracking sand into trucks stationed on scales. Then we tied into the existing rail line to unload the fracking sand from the rail cars. Consider it the opposite of a grain terminal!

Customer Benefit

This has become a fully automated turnkey plant which can be operated by only one or two employees. This user-friendly facility has reduced labour costs and gets customers back out on the road.
