In fulfilling this commitment, we will provide and maintain
a safe and healthful work environment as indicated by acceptable
business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements,
and will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which
may result in fires, security losses, damage to property,
loss to the environment and/or personal injuries/illnesses.
Accidental loss can be controllled through good management
in combination with active employee involvement. Loss prevention
is the direct responsibility of all line managers and employees
alike.
All managers and/or supervisors must demonstrate their commitment
to this policy at all times and are responsible within their
respective jurisdiction for taking those actions they deem
necessary to ensure compliance with all OH&S Acts, Regulations
and Codes for the province in which the work is being conducted,
and with procedures, guidelines and processes arising out
if this policy.
All employees are responsible for adherance to company rules
and standards while performing their work, and for taking
measures to ensure their own safety and that of other employees
and the public.
The policy further empowers employees to stop operations
that constitute a danger to themselves or a fellow employee,
and to participate in the correction of the workplace hazard.
This policy is based on the commitment that NO JOB IS SO
IMPORTANT THAT IT CAN NOT BE DONE SAFELY and that ALL ACCIDENTS
ARE PREVENTABLE.
